Initial Assessment & Treatment (75m)

At the first appointment, some basic information about your medical background will be gathered and your posture, range of movement (ROM), lifestyle and any relevant emotional factors can be discussed and assessed. Sometimes the root of the discomfort is not where the pain actually is.

This brief, but essential, overview takes about 15 minutes, followed by an hour's treatment. A follow up appointment will be scheduled to monitor progress.

Follow Up Treatments (30/45/60m)

These build on the previous treatment, noting any relevant modifications, making adjustments and aiming to promote further flexibility and strength.

Types of Treatment

Sports Massage

This is proven to release and reduce tension in muscles, improve circulation and encourage the removal of waste products within the body tissues.

Deep Tissue Massage

This is more specific for the whole body, as a deep treatment. Muscle manipulation and joint mobilisation help ease pain caused through everyday activities such as: work, sport, gardening, childcare and other everyday activities.

Myofascial Release

This is a targeted treatment which focuses on the fascia (a layer of connective tissue below the skin). This targets specific areas and pains. This would be part of a treatment if required.

Trigger Point Therapy (TPT)

This is a Soft Tissue technique that works to release painful tension in muscles and fascia.
